In 1993 Bodo F. Reinecke developed a DOS software for the provision of finance services. The idea of founding an independent company became reality in autumn of 2000. At the end of the year efcom gmbh was set up and the official foundation could be celebrated. In May 2001 the original software on a DOS basis was replaced by ef3 premium, which rests on an Oracle database. Therefore an obsolete technology has given way to an absolutely new software-solution with a promising future. Years of experience in dealing with the previous software together with intense market analysis provided the necessary and realistic knowledge for success. efcom acquires two major customers in the following two years. In 2003, expansion and consolidation of stock was one of the primary goals. The cooperation with our existing customers was permanently intensified and encouraged. In 2004, the spotlight was, above all, on internationalisation. In this context, marketing is being refined, and the company's image is being adapted to meet new demands. In order to meet international standards, an English version of our software will also be available. The development of attractive extra modules for international financial transactions is one of the most important tasks. Thus even outside the German-speaking nations, the ef3 premium factoring software is an attractive tool for securely processing factoring data. This trend reflects strongly on the client base: at the beginning of 2008, efcom is present in 8 different European countries.
